On Thursday, Nov. 13, a local job fair will connect justice-impacted job seekers with gainful employment from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bessemer Civic Center.
The West Jefferson Second Chance Hiring Fair, an annual event, offers on-the-spot interviews and immediate job openings in manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, hospitality and other professional services. The event also connects attendees with supportive services including housing assistance, healthcare, voter registration and reentry resources.
“This isn’t just about employment, it’s about building stronger families, safer communities, and real economic mobility,” Jefferson County District Attorney Lynneice Washington said in a statement. “We’re addressing the root causes of instability by creating direct access to opportunity.”…
