BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The city of Birmingham is now accepting pre-registration forms for those seeking money due to the suspension of SNAP benefits across the country.
The $1 million program, in partnership with the United Way of Central Alabama, was approved by the Birmingham City Council as a way to guarantee that families in the city do not go hungry as SNAP benefits remain frozen.
