HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A woman was injured after hitting a deer on a county road Tuesday night.
The accident occurred on Nov. 11 around 8 p.m., with the collision report noting that the roadway was not lighted at the time of the accident. The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Russellville Road near the 15-mile marker when a deer ran out onto the roadway from the median, according to the Christian County Sheriff’s Office.
The airbags of the vehicle were deployed when the deer was struck, with the female driver sustaining injuries to her hand and chest. The passenger was uninjured. Hopkinsville EMS transported the driver to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment…
