Summit addressing South Carolina’s addiction crisis kicks off in Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCBD) – South Carolina is working to address substance abuse and addiction. A two-day summit in Columbia will bring together more than 700 community leaders to highlight efforts to combat the epidemic.

The 2025 South Carolina Governor’s Summit on Addiction will kick off Thursday at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, with advocates, healthcare providers, and law enforcement professionals from across the Palmetto State expected to attend.
