Man conducting traffic control seriously injured in alleged hit-and-run accident

(WJET/WFXP) – One man conducting traffic control was hospitalized following an alleged hit-and-run accident in Erie County.

On Saturday, November 8, around 6 p.m., officers with Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Erie responded to a reported hit-and-run accident near St. Boniface Church on Wattsburg Road in Greene Township.

According to police, the driver, a 92-year-old Erie man, was exiting the east side exit of the church parking lot when he struck a 54-year-old Waterford man performing traffic control.

Police claim that the Waterford man became airborne during the accident and was seriously injured.
