Unlicensed Pompano Beach driver accused of speeding with baby in car before fatal crash

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — A 30-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after authorities say she caused a high-speed crash in Pompano Beach last month that left one person dead days later.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened just after 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 18 near the 1200 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Investigators said Dionndra Bell, then 29, was driving a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander with her young daughter in the car when she lost control while traveling at more than double the posted 30 mph speed limit…
