Veteran Grand Rapids chef Trimell Hawkins is bringing a fine dining experience to South Division with the opening of Trust, an intimate restaurant where he’ll seat two dozen guests for seven-course meals.
Hawkins plans to open Trust by the end of November. He’s betting that Grand Rapids’ restaurant scene is ready for a slower, structured meal that “tells a story,” filling a gap in the market for elevated dining.
