EAU CLAIRE, WISCONSIN — Police say three Minneapolis residents were arrested after investigators linked them to a multi-state retail theft ring that allegedly stole more than $150,000 in merchandise from stores across Wisconsin and Minnesota.
According to the Eau Claire Police Department (ECPD), the break in the case came when Scheels employees recognized one of the suspects accused of stealing a $3,500 fish finder earlier this month. The man returned to the store on Nov. 1, this time accompanied by two other people.
Theft Spree Spanned Multiple States
While officers were still collecting information at Oakwood Mall, police received another report of a theft at Ulta Beauty, where staff provided a suspect description matching the same trio.
Authorities identified the suspects as:
- Kenneth Machen, 21
- Roberta Howard, 19
- Leslie Robinson, 64
