‘Doesn’t benefit any of us’: North Peoria residents voice concerns over proposed 300-unit apartment complex

PEORIA, Ariz. — After months of debate and community pushback, plans for a new apartment complex in north Peoria are moving forward, drawing both concern and cautious optimism from local residents and developers.

The proposed Cibola Vista Apartments would sit on a 17-acre plot at Pinnacle Peak Drive and Lake Pleasant Parkway, adjacent to the existing Cibola Vista Resort. The development calls for 302 apartment units across a mix of two, three, and four-story buildings.

Last week, nearly two dozen North Peoria residents spoke at a Planning and Zoning Committee meeting to voice their opposition, while hundreds more signed a Change.org petition opposing the project.
