FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — A new policy that changes which flags can be flown on city property in Federal Way is facing backlash.
In an Oct. 21 meeting, the city council approved amendments to the city’s flag policy that only allow for the American flag, the Washington state flag, and the city of Federal Way flag outside of city hall. The POW/MIA flag will still be flown in accordance with state law.
