Northampton Borough Fire Department Chief Michael Booke died after a decades-long career marked by dedication and mentorship, according to the department.
Booke joined the department in 1998 and served in numerous roles before becoming chief, officials said at the end of the announcement. Prior to his years with the department, he was a Pennsylvania State Police trooper and later became the Fire Marshal for Troop M until retiring in 2017.
