The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has arrested 17-year-old Andre Whitfield of Southeast, DC. He is accused of involvement in six carjackings and one armed robbery. The arrest occurred on November 12, 2025, based on a DC Superior Court warrant. Whitfield is being charged as an adult under Title 16.
The incidents took place between June 8 and June 12, 2025. They happened at several locations in the District, including 3rd Street and Florida Avenue NW, Georgia Avenue NW, Massachusetts Avenue NE, East Capitol Street SE, Pennsylvania Avenue SE, and Central Avenue SE. An unarmed carjacking was also reported on 10th Street SE.
