BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Two Wasco gang members were convicted on charges related to an incident at a Wasco car wash in which they stole a former gang member’s vehicle at gunpoint and later led Delano police on a high-speed chase before arrest.
Vidal Gonzalez and Jesus Quintero were convicted on Nov. 3, 2025, of carjacking, participation in a criminal street gang, and related charges. On Wednesday, a Kern County jury also found it true that both defendants committed the act for the benefit of the Varrio Wasco Rifas street gang.
