Cynthia Erivo sings high praises for ‘Wicked: For Good’

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Cynthia Erivo has found success in television with projects such as “Aretha Franklin” and in films with “Harriet.” Her Broadway debut as Celie in “The Color Purple” earned her a Tony Award as Best Actress in a Musical.

Her long history working on stage production has fed into one of her greatest loves. Erivo has a deep passion for music and that was a big reason she was so excited to be cast in the film adaptation of Gregory Maguire’s book Wicked. After earning an Oscar nomination for last year’s “Wicked,” Erivo is belting out more tunes for the second half of the story in “Wicked: For Good.”…
