Detectives working to learn more about people believed to be responsible for attempted robbery of mail carrier in Myers Park area

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Investigators from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and the United States Postal Inspection Service are working to identify the people responsible for trying to rob a letter carrier in the Myers Park area last week.

The incident happened around 11 a.m. on Monday, November 3 in the 2900 block of Selwyn Avenue.

Detective Ashley Phillips with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers said the letter carrier was on his normal route near a shopping plaza when an individual approached him, implied that they were carrying a weapon and then tried to steal from the carrier…
