(WJET/WFXP)– The ANNA Shelter is reminding the public why they don’t have a time limit for their rescue operations after taking in more than 25 cats from two Erie area locations within a 24-hour span.
The shelter’s animal cruelty division said they rescued 28 cats on Wednesday, November 12, after both Pennsylvania State Police and Erie police reached out.

The first group was rescued from a local motel room, while the second group was taken from a home in the City of Erie, all of which are now being triaged and being made ready for adoption.
They’re now looking for new homes for the rescued pets and are accepting donations until that time.
