Villager arrested after raiding refrigerator at man friend’s home

A Villager was arrested after raiding a refrigerator at a man friend’s home.

Janine Renee Rapka, 47, who lives in the Village of Santo Domingo, went to a home on Aloha Way on the Historic Side of The Villages on the afternoon of Friday, Nov. 7 and rang the doorbell, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The man who owns the home was sleeping and did not answer the door. She rang the doorbell several more times and began banging on the door.

The New Jersey native forced her way into the screened-in lanai. She opened up a refrigerator and helped herself to a Gatorade. The male homeowner spotted Rapka and ordered to her leave. He threatened to call law enforcement as this was not the first time Rapka made an unwanted appearance at his residence.

Another woman was passing by and noticed Rapka’s golf cart parked outside. Rapka ran at the woman and struck her on the neck and collarbone area “multiple times with closed fists,” the report said. The attack took place in the carport. The man ordered Rapka to stop attacking the second woman. That apparently infuriated Rapka, who went back at the other woman and began swinging her fists at her. Rapka eventually fled in a golf cart…
