Former WKRG-TV reporter Leo Alexander dies at 61

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Former WKRG-TV news reporter Leo Alexander died Thursday in Mobile at age 61.

One dead in crash on Bellingrath Road

Alexander worked at WKRG in the early 1990s before moving on to WWL-TV in New Orleans and WRC-TV in Washington, D.C.

In 2010, Alexander ran for mayor of Washington, D.C. He finished third in the Democratic primary.

Alexander was a graduate of Davidson High School and the University of South Alabama. He earned a master’s degree at George Washington University.
