KATY, Texas — Authorities are searching for two burglars who have been breaking into Katy-area bars, smashing open vending and arcade machines, and making off with thousands of dollars in cash, according to bar owners and security video.
The pair is believed to be responsible for tens of thousands of dollars in damage across multiple businesses in west Harris County.
At JJ’s Bar, the owner said the suspects cut their way through a locked garage door early on the morning of Nov. 2, then caused about $26,000 in damage inside the bar.
