BOISE, ID – A Missouri man convicted of trafficking large quantities of cocaine into Idaho has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Idaho.
William Charles Jones, 34, of St. Louis, was sentenced to 120 months in federal custody for his role in distributing cocaine throughout the Treasure Valley. Court records show Jones regularly traveled to Missouri to purchase kilogram-level quantities of cocaine, which he then shipped to himself at an Idaho residence. Investigators said he supplied several mid-level distributors in the region.
In one instance, Jones traveled to Canada to obtain two kilograms of cocaine and shipped them to Idaho. Customs and Border Protection and the Drug Enforcement Administration intercepted and seized the shipment at the U.S.–Canadian border…
