Two Mexican nationals face federal charges after I-5 stop turns up 72 pounds of methamphetamine

EUGENE, Ore. (KTVZ) — Two Mexican nationals illegally in the United States have been charged with trafficking 72 pounds of methamphetamine, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Oregon announced Thursday.

Alejandra Diaz-Alcantar, 45, and Juan Alberto Alvarado-Gonzalez, 31, have been charged by criminal complaint with conspiracy to distribute and possession with the intent to distribute over 500 grams of a mixture or substance containing methamphetamine.
