Arrest made months after man found murdered in front yard in Surprise

SURPRISE, AZ (AZFamily) — Months after a man was discovered dead in a front yard in Surprise, police announced they arrested a suspect they had been looking at all along.

Nathan Sobarzo, 27, was taken into custody on Wednesday and is facing a second-degree murder charge.

Family members found the body of 53-year-old Sean Hernandez from Phoenix in the yard at the house near El Mirage and Bell roads on June 11, around 4 a.m.

Police said they arrested Sobarzo shortly after the discovery on unrelated robbery charges. He lived at the house and is Hernandez’s cousin…
