Police: Man wanted in WNC for animal cruelty facing drug trafficking, gun charges

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Asheville Police Department reports arresting a wanted man on drug trafficking and gun charges on Wednesday.

Officers said they made contact near Deaverview Road around 3:31 p.m. with 37-year-old Tequan Altorez Vance, who was wanted for felony cruelty to animals.

Vance was found in possession of a trafficking amount of cocaine and a handgun and was taken into custody, according to police.

Officers said they seized 5.56 grams of crack cocaine, 27.04 grams of powder cocaine and a 9mm handgun…
