CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The National Weather Service late Thursday morning included the Charlottesville area in a group all over Central and Northern Virginia, nearly all of Maryland, and Eastern West Virginia under an elevated fire risk through 5 p.m.
A special weather statement said, “The combination of 10 hour fuel moistures around 10%, relative humidities around 25-to-35%, and wind gusts 25-to-30 m.p.h., and up to 40 on exposed ridges will lead to an increased risk for the rapid spread of wildfires.”…
