GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids Comic Con says actor Malcolm McDowell had to cancel his appearance due to scheduling complications caused by flight delays during the government shutdown.
“Sorry but we have another major cancellation,” Grand Rapids Comic Con said in a Facebook post Thursday. “Malcolm McDowell’s work schedule got caught up in the government shutdown and now can not attend. We are very sorry but we can’t do much about this either.”
The “A Clockwork Orange” actor was supposed to appear at the convention taking place Nov. 14-16 at DeVos Place.

The star is currently filming in Los Angeles, according to Grand Rapids Comic Con. It said a shoot scheduled for Tuesday had to be postponed to the weekend of Comic Con, after his co-star was “caught up in all the plane delays due to the government shutdown.”…
