Kentucky auditor won’t ask for state funds for Fayette County Schools probe

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Kentucky’s auditor said she’s no longer asking the General Assembly for money to help pay for her office’s investigation of Fayette County Schools.

Allison Ball told FOX 56 News she couldn’t ask for state help after FCPS pressed forward to pay for its own audit.

The school district had a $16 million shortfall and received criticism on how it spent taxpayer money.
