Task Force arrests undocumented man, charged with possessing drugs, gun

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Safe Task Force announced the arrest of an undocumented man following a traffic stop that led to multiple criminal charges.

Around 7:20 Wednesday evening, a Task Force member stopped 31-year-old Juan Osmar Sanchez-Palacios in the area of Sam Cooper Blvd and the Graham St. exit ramp, after a trooper saw the car he was driving straddling the left and center lanes.

According to records, Sanchez-Palacios told the trooper he did not have a driver’s license and showed his Mexican passport. While speaking with the official, he admitted to smoking marijuana inside the car with his friends and said the authorities could search his car.
