Mobile police arrest man accused of stabbing woman; victim fighting for her life

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile Police Department officers arrested a man after a female was found Thursday night with life-threatening stab wounds.

According to an MPD news release, 43-year-old Ronald Mims II was arrested and charged with attempted murder.

Officials said their officers were called to the 6400 block of Airport Boulevard around 8:50 p.m. Thursday for a report of a stabbing.

When they arrived, officers found a woman with life-threatening injuries and had her taken to a local hospital.

Officers said they discovered that Mims knew the woman and pulled out a knife during an argument, leading to the stabbing.
