J&K Home Furnishings acquires fellow S.C. retailer

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — J&K Home Furnishings is doubling its presence in the Charleston, S.C., market with its acquisition of Goose Creek’s Infinger Furniture.

J&K CEO and owner Chuck Dawson told Furniture Today that the Infinger store is in the last stages of a going-out-of-business sale, led by the Noll Group. After it closes, it will be remodeled and turned into a J&K Home Furnishings showroom, joining an already established store in Mt. Pleasant.

Dawson said plans are to make it the family-owned company’s first green store, something he hopes to roll out to the Myrtle Beach, S.C.-based retailer’s other seven shops at some point. He expects the store to be ready and open by early-to-mid January…
