CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) — Forty-four days ago, Food Banks such as Churches Assisting People (CAP) received word that SNAP benefits for November wouldn’t be going through.
CAP Food Pantry Executive Director Donna Bodie said their numbers increased significantly.
“Before the shutdown, we were seeing between 50 and 80 families a day,” she said. “Once the shutdown hit, it jumped to like 130 people per day. And it’s been over 100 families since then.”…
