(NewsNation) — Evacuation warnings have been issued for parts of Southern California as the region braces for heavy rain and potential mudslides.
Ahead of the storm, Los Angeles County officials have issued warnings for several areas near recent wildfire burn scars, as reported by local NewsNation affiliate KTLA in Los Angeles.
The warnings will go into effect Thursday at 6 p.m. and will last through Sun. at 11 a.m.

Where are the warnings in effect?
The evacuation warnings are in effect for the following burn scar areas “due to the risk of mud and debris flow,” according to LA County officials:
- Canyon
- Bethany
- Eaton
- Palisades
- Hurst
- Kenneth
- Sunset
- Lidia
- Franklin
- Bridge
