BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — The Bedford County School Board has decided on what they plan to do about the Forest school zone redistricting.
During the board’s monthly meeting on Thursday night, the school board held its final vote on the Forest redistricting, which they had put off since May. School Board member Steven Hill made a motion to adopt the overflow model, which is a model he had been researching and felt better meets the needs of the families and students in the area.
“I move that we approve the Forest zone adjustments, excluding the portions that move students to Boonsboro Elementary and Otter River, and deny the New London area redistricting portion and refer it back to staff for further study utilizing the overflow model,” Hill shared…
