LANSING, MI — Motorists are anxiously awaiting the reopening of the southbound lanes of US-127 through south Lansing. The months-long project has dramatically altered traffic flows across mid-Michigan since March, and contributed to numerous traffic accidents within the construction zones.
MDOT says it is targeting “late the week of Nov. 17 to begin shifting traffic.” The changeover won’t happen all at once though and motorists are urged to remain patient as road construction crews finish work.
“Keep in mind major stage changes like this result in additional lane and ramp closures in order to complete this process and will be over several days, not everything will open at once,” an MDOT spokesman said…
