‘Pure energy, pure love’: Family, neighbors hold vigil for toddler killed in Dade City

DADE CITY, Fla. — Dozens of neighbors and strangers gathered for a vigil only feet away from where a toddler was run over and killed in Dade City.

Shock and sadness spread fast on Friday among a few blocks of the Hilltop Point subdivision after 2-year-old Creedence Archibald died after walking with his father on their street, wandered into the road and was struck by a pickup truck.

“His name means to believe, and I truly believe he is all around us,” said Creedence’s aunt, Chelsea Coleman, reading a statement from his mother, Ashley. “Please know I see you. I read your words, and I feel your love.”…
