A months-long investigation led by the Burien Police Department’s Precinct 4 Special Emphasis Team resulted in multiple arrests and large scale drug seizures tied to a trafficking network with direct links to the Sinaloa Cartel, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
The operation, called “Operation Eastbound and Down,” targeted several local drug distributors and a regional supplier based in Bridgeport, WA. Detectives determined the supplier and an accomplice were receiving more than 100 pounds of narcotics every few weeks before distributing the drugs to local dealers across King, Pierce and Snohomish counties.
