It’s that time of year when the question comes to mind: When is it going to snow in Spokane? Good question. No snow is in sight yet, but we have hit the average time when we see our first snow.

November 13th is the average date for the Spokane area for the first measurable snow. That is snow that is not just a trace, but at least a tenth of an inch. In 2024, the first snow was close to the average, on November 15th.

The earliest snow in the Spokane area was back in 1926, on September 23rd. The latest snow was even further back, in 1902, on January 19th. No White Christmas that year!…
