Central Park Road will reopen to accommodate influx of traffic to nearby Holiday Festival of Lights

JAMES ISLAND, S.C. (WCBD) – Central Park Road will reopen to vehicular traffic Friday as Charleston County prepares for an influx of visitors to nearby James Island County Park.

Thousands of people travel to the park each year for the Holiday Festival of Lights, which also begins Friday. The surrounding area is expected to see heavier traffic as guests head to the annual event.

Charleston County officials said the road will reopen at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, and remain open each evening and on weekends for the duration of the festival to accommodate increased traffic…
