DETROIT (WWJ) — A man who was wanted in connection with multiple violent crimes is in the hospital, after he was shot by police officers in Detroit.
According to Detroit Police First Asst. Chief Charles Fitzgerald, officers were tracking the man who was suspected in a string of recent shootings, for a total of ten.
“Officers were in the area, in the Tenth Precinct, conducting surveillance on an individual wanted on numerous shootings,” Fitzgerald told reporters at a press briefing. “One is an actual nonfatal shooting, and the other nine incidents — nine incidents in the past ten days that occurred — (involved) shooting at houses and cars.”…
