RED SPRINGS — The recount for the Red Springs mayoral race has been rescheduled to Monday.
The race’s initial results showed only a one-vote difference between Caroline Sumpter and Duron Burney, the latter of whom requested the recount.
While the recount was initially planned for Friday, a protest was brought to the Robeson County Board of Elections that morning, launching an investigation into the claim and delaying the recount until that is resolved…
