Two Arrested for Cyber and Terror Threats in St. John Parish, Including LaPlace Resident

This week, detectives from the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office (SJSO) arrested two individuals in separate cases involving cyber and financial crimes. In the first case, Korey Flood, 25, of Mobile, Alabama, was arrested on November 11, 2025. Flood is charged with 10 counts of false communication with intent to cause an emergency response and one count of terrorizing. Authorities allege that Flood made multiple false emergency calls to addresses in St. John Parish between August and October 2025.

According to investigators, Flood’s actions led to unnecessary law enforcement responses. The Mobile Police Department assisted SJSO in identifying and interviewing Flood. He was arrested in Mobile and extradited to St. John Parish. Flood is being held on a $75,000 bond.

In a separate case, Michael Bovie, 35, of LaPlace, was arrested on November 12, 2025. Bovie faces two counts of terrorizing after allegedly posting threats against law enforcement and the public on social media.
