Mobile Resident Sentenced to 4 Years for Illegal Gun Possession After Police Search

In October 2025, Lorenzo Robert Warren, 41, of Mobile, Alabama, was sentenced to 48 months in federal prison for illegal firearm possession as a convicted felon. Chief U.S. District Judge Jeffrey U. Beaverstock issued the sentence in the Southern District of Alabama.

Warren was arrested on April 4, 2023, after Mobile Police executed a search warrant at a residence. Officers found Warren in the backyard.

They located a loaded, stolen 9mm pistol on the front seat of his pickup truck and a bag of crack cocaine in the truck’s ashtray. Warren’s previous felony convictions for drug distribution made it illegal for him to have a firearm under federal law…
