CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) – A child is recovering after getting hit by a car while getting off a Chesterfield school bus Friday morning.
Police say just after 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 14, a Chesterfield County Public School Bus was stopped in the 12400 block of Riverway Road with its red lights flashing and stop bar extended, when a white Kia Sorento driving in the other lane disregarded the red lights and struck a student who had just gotten off the bus.
The student was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay…
