Sarasota Looks to Be Getting a Del Taco

With nearly 600 locations across the country, Del Taco has a long history that stretches all the way back to 1964 in Yermo, California. Founded there by Ed Hackbarth and David Jameson, Del Taco served a menu featuring 19-cent tacos, tostadas, fries, and 24-cent cheeseburgers. The world has changed unimaginably much since then—and Del Taco has grown with the times.

The menu has diversified considerably in more than half a century, but you’ll still find tacos, burgers, and more. Currently featured items include the $5 Clásico El Big Box (Our $5 Clásico El Big Box. Now, a new Del Taco location appears to be in the works in Sarasota, where plan review paperwork submitted by FreshMexFL LLC shows a new location opening at 5850 Fruitville Road…
