Phoenix Earth Food Co-op Set to Reopen November 14 After Renovations Benefiting Local Shoppers

The Phoenix Earth Food Co-op in Toledo will reopen on Friday, November 14, 2025. The store closed on November 5 for renovations. Updates include new flooring, improved electrical circuits for refrigeration, and a new produce rack. The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department and local unions and businesses, including IBEW Local 8, TAS Electrical, Carpenters Local 351, and Buckeye Commercial Flooring, supported these changes.

The co-op recently joined the Health Department’s Produce Perks Midwest program. This program offers SNAP/EBT users a $1-for-$1 match up to $15 per day on fruits and vegetables.
