Anthony Scott Good, the U.S. Border Patrol chief in the El Paso Sector, confirmed to the El Paso Timesthat shots were fired from Juárez at a Border Patrol agent last week.
The incident occurred at 7:44 a.m. on Nov. 7. The agent was following a group of migrants who had illegally crossed into the U.S. when he reported shots fired from the south bank of the Rio Grande, Good said.
