ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A New Mexico man learned how many years he will spend behind bars for ending another person’s life. Last year in May, Timothy Lemmon was shot and killed by Davonta Jacob in southeast Albuquerque near Gibson and San Mateo.

Witnesses told police that Lemmon was helping someone set up a tent when the shooting happened. In August of this year, Davonta Jacob took a plea deal in the case and pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter with a firearm enhancement.
