El Paso County Woman Found Dead on Halloween, Suspect Charged with Murder and Robbery

Tragedy struck the quiet streets of unincorporated El Paso County on Halloween afternoon when Yetzabel Quinones, a 38-year-old woman, was found dead under suspicious circumstances. According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, it was around 2:54 p.m. on October 31 when the call requesting medical assistance came in from the 4000 block of Loomis Avenue.

First responders from the Stratmoor Hills Fire Department were soon at the scene, where they discovered the deceased Ms. Quinones. The situation quickly escalated from a medical response to a law enforcement investigation as the death raised suspicion among the responders. Deputies arrived, assessing the scene’s grim reality and calling in the investigations division to take the lead.

The El Paso County Coroner’s Office is responsible for identifying the victim and will later provide details on the official cause and manner of death.
