Fayetteville Tech Named Among Nation’s Top 25 Cybersecurity Programs, Highlighting Local Educational Excellence

Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) has been ranked No. 23 among the Top 25 cybersecurity associate degree programs in the United States, according to Cybersecurity Guide. The independent research team reviewed 199 associate degree programs nationwide. FTCC is one of seven North Carolina institutions included in the list. All recognized North Carolina colleges, including FTCC, are members of the Carolina Cyber Network, a 23-member group co-founded by FTCC to support cybersecurity education and workforce development in the state.

The Cybersecurity Guide’s rankings considered academic quality, student-to-faculty ratios, graduation and retention rates, admission selectivity, and in-state tuition costs. FTCC’s program includes hands-on training and industry certifications. Dean Dwayne Campbell noted the program’s emphasis on practical skills and alignment with industry needs.

FTCC is designated as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security through 2028.
