TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Two brothers who survived the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida are now recovering from another tragedy. Connor and Brandon Dietrich were among the dozens hurt in a crash that killed four people over the weekend in Ybor City.

The brothers were out Friday night with their friend, Riley Hancock, when a driver lost control and slammed into a crowd. Their father, Robert Dietrich, told Nexstar’s WFLA that Connor remains in critical condition.
‘It tears you apart’
Connor, 25, is known by his family as the strong one, an athlete, and a survivor of Parkland who is now fighting for his life in the hospital.
“You see your son like that, it tears you apart… it’s rough, it’s rough,” Robert said through tears.
