Dominican national previously sentenced and deported for drug trafficking, sentenced for selling 5 kilos of fentanyl

BOSTON – A Dominican national, unlawfully residing in Massachusetts, was sentenced in federal court in Boston for selling five kilograms of fentanyl to an undercover agent after unlawfully reentering the United States after deportation.

According to a release by the Massachusetts Department of Justice, 35-year-old Luis Alberto German-Peguero, a/k/a “Alberto Chirry,” “was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Richard Stearns to 10 years in prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release. The defendant is subject to deportation upon completion of the imposed sentence. In June 2025, German-Peguero pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl, one count of distribution of and possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl, and one count of illegal reentry of a deported alien.”
